THANK YOU for lighting this match,
the first of 69 matches made possible through ourGiving Tuesday donors!

640 people made gifts to Big Brothers of Sisters of Central Indiana onGiving Tuesday, and BBBSCI raised $137,150 including the $65,000 received in matching gifts. This will help light matches for 69 kids on the waiting list.

Last night, the first of these matches was made when Little Brother Caden met his Big Brother Ed!

Caden is in the third grade. His mom hopes that a Big Brother will provide positive, consistent, and long-term support in Caden’s life. He does not have a male role model that supports him consistently, and he longs for that. She hopes a Big Brother will encourage self-esteem and confidence and help develop a trusting relationship with him. Caden is excited for a Big Brother to spend one-on-one time with and is eager to play soccer and other sports with his Big Brother.

Ed is a realtor with F.C. Tucker. He is eager to give back to the community and believes that spending a couple hours a month with a child is a simple way to create a positive impact.

When Caden met his new Big Brother Ed last night, he was shy, but very smiley and excited. He shared that his absolute favorite sport is soccer which he just finished playing for the season. Now he’s on to basketball which is his second favorite sport. Ed and Caden talked about ideas for things they’d like to do together, but specifically planned to go to Sky Zone and possibly indoor go-karting in the first three months of their match. When the weather is warm, they look forward to visiting local parks, playing sports together, and participating in the Go Ape high ropes course at Eagle Creek Park.

On behalf of all of us at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, thank you for making this match and many more to come possible. We sincerely appreciate your overwhelming support and generosity and could not be more grateful for your willingness to support local kids and families through Big Brothers Big Sisters.

THANK YOU!
